Wicker baskets by Gunars

Mr. Gunars from Skriveri is already over 90 years old. He has a sharp mind, nimble fingers and a very nice sense of humor.
Although he needs to use 2 canes for walking, he grows wicker for baskets himself and makes fun of himself saying that his passion is "removing brushwood".
Born in Jurmala, he once completed postgraduate studies and worked in science - at the Skriveri Institute of Agriculture.
He says that he doesn't like to go out in public and go to events, he prefers to be alone and to work creatively with his daughter - both of them started carving spoons.
